Learn Chinese, step into everyday life, and connect the experience with your own story.

In Yangzhou, a new expression can travel from the classroom to a meal order, a cultural visit or a conversation with a new friend. Each One Club is developing the Yangzhou International Winter Camp for young people aged 10–17, bringing language learning, city life and peer exchange together through real situations.

This programme preview is based on the draft Parent Guide. A 10-day residential stay is planned; dates, the curriculum and practical arrangements will be announced once confirmed.

From the classroom into everyday life

Learn It | Chinese you can use. Practise listening and speaking through everyday tasks such as ordering food, visiting cultural venues and meeting new people. English support is planned according to participants’ language levels.

Live It | Discover Yangzhou with curiosity. Explore streets and cultural spaces, observing, asking questions and experiencing local life. Activities and places to visit remain subject to the final curriculum and safety arrangements.

Link It | Connect with others and with your own story. Exchanges with local Buddies offer a chance to discover another young person’s daily life. A My China Story notebook can hold new words, observations and personal reflections.

For parents: the details before departure

Dates and arrangements | Travel dates, accommodation, transfer times, fees and the programme schedule are still being confirmed. Final notices and registration documents will set out the agreed arrangements; this page introduces the programme’s direction.

Camp life and communication | The draft guide outlines daily care, overnight staff cover, collection of health information and parent contact arrangements. The final Parent Guide will identify responsible staff, communication channels and emergency contacts.

Buddy exchanges | Local peers take part in cultural exchange and do not replace adult supervision. Any Buddy-family overnight stay would be a separate optional arrangement, subject to household checks, written parental consent and the child’s own wishes.
